Villas Ecotucan is the ideal place for small to large groups of all kinds. By occupying all five cabins, your group will enjoy exclusive use of all our facilities. The jungle location and large tropical gardens make Villas Ecotucan the perfect backdrop for any group looking to interact with and enjoy nature at its fullest -- as well as create a sense of community and closeness amongst its participants. Necessities such as clean and comfortable cabins, hot and cold showers, modern bathrooms and kitchen facilities, and lots of outdoor and indoor space ensure participants remain eager, engaged, and happy throughout their stay. And, of course, the beautiful Laguana Bacalar is there to enjoy, swim in, and explore.

For larger groups -- or groups looking for inexpensive accommodation -- we offer the option of camping in the courtyard surrounding the cabins. And, beginning in November of. 2004, we will also offer two fully screened bunkhouses ( ten beds each ) on top of camping option.

Ecotucan's client list already includes retreat groups (meditation, workshops, silent retreats, massage therapy), church groups (youth groups, men's and women's retreats), student groups, business outings, and traditional family celebrations (weddings, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays and reunions.) Some groups choose to take advantage of Villa Ecotucan's extra services, such as meals; guided mountain bike, kayak, or jungle tours; organized rallies and events with local school groups; catered meals; laundry; equipment rental; group transportation; guided tours of nearby sites of interest; organized classes (yoga, massage sessions, cooking, Spanish lessons) and airport pickup and return.

Groups may rent all five cabins (each has a large private bath) with daily cleaning service (change of sheets and towels every three days) for up to 20 guests. From November through April (not including Christmas week) the rate is $160 USD for all five cabins; from May through October the rate is $140 USD.

Bunkhouses host up to ten guests and share a clean, moden common bathroom about ten meters away. The cost is $40 USD per night, which includes daily cleaning service (but no change of sheets or towels.)

Groups may rent the entire facility -- the five cabins and two bunkhouses -- for $200 USD per night (November through April, not including Christmas week) or $170 USD per night (May through October.) Rental of the complete facility includes the five cabins and two bunkhouses plus use of the gardens for camping -- up to sixty guests total. Daily cleaning service is included (change of sheets and towels each three days) as well as exclusive use of the kitchen and dining facilities, all common rooms and areas, and the dock and lagoon areas.
