Activities at Villas Ecotucan

During the day spend your time just sitting and looking at the lake. Or, enjoy walking through our jungle trails, watching birds, Gardens at Villa Ecotucanor playing with some of the leisure equipment we provide, which includes bocci, badminton, croquet, and volleyball.

 

A short walk down the hill takes you to the magical Laguna de Bacalar, perfect for swimming or kayaking or just simply admiring. Also known as the Lagoon of Seven Colors, its bright shades Kyaking on Laguna Bacalarof blue are breathtaking. Our hotel offers a dock (guests have free use of kayaks) as well as rest area down by the water. Boat tours can be arranged and this is an ideal place for photography buffs, both professional and amateur.

 

Tour the extensive gardens of native species, walk on the many jungle trails, or rent one of Riding a bike through the jungleour mountain bikes for a jungle adventure you won't forget.

 

In the early evening, enjoy a quiet meal then go into town for a leisurely stroll. In the night, go on exciting night jungle walks, sit by the campfire and admire the stars, or enjoy the reflection of the moon in the lake from a hammock on the dock.

 

Villas Ecotucan offers guided bird watching tours as well as guided jungle walks during which visitors get a chance to learn about and observe the flora and fauna of this region first hand. Whether you are a bird watcher or a nature lover, you spend relaxing days exploring our jungle paths as well as fruit orchards observing species of all kinds.
